Deviare

I was waiting for the "right pictures" to blog about my new canvas bag which I really really dig, this Uzumaki bag I got from Front Lawn Utopia but clumsy me, I spilled coffee on it!! WTF is wrong with me!! And I’m undecided if I should wash it because the print looks really good and I’m not sure if maybe I’ll fuck up again and make it worse. Like I haven’t even had this bag for a week and I already messed it up lmao I’m helpless T^T
So yea I can be gross.. I can tolerate spilled stinky coffee on my bag if it’s for the sake of the print not being ruined. Until today, the brown stains are weirdly getting a greenish hue LOLOL omg is this fungi I don’t even know anymore!! So before things get worse here’s my new canvas bag (adulterated version, sumimasen)

REAL TALK tho I know that you know that I think Uzumaki prints on clothing and bags are overrated. Opinions highly differ, yes. Nonetheless it’s everywhere (cough* tumblr, coughs ig) . Not that I dislike it. Even tho it’s overrated (at least for me) I decided to get one because I believe it can give a strong statement. It kind of expresses that I do appreciate and recognize the amount of influence the genre has on me.. And it was only 9 pounds, what’s there to whine about.

So any tips for washing my bag..? :/

  1. I think if you're really careful, soapy water and a toothbrush might do the trick? Also I found this online: http://www.ebay.com/gds/Your-Guide-to-Removing-Stains-from-Canvas-Bags-/10000000178630341/g.html

  2. Heyy I love your phone case! Sorry to hear about your coffee accident though! I just use nappy sand (which is an Australian product I believe) and dampen the area with the washing powder then throw it in the wash. Gets rid of most stains for me. Sorry that wasn't too helpful ;w;

  3. Love so much this tote *_* maybe you can try to wash it with cold water in the washing machine, I usually wash this way delicate items!

(and love the italian title for this post ahah!)

  4. So good! I love his work yet surprisingly I haven't seen a lot of it on tumblr, i didn't even know there were prints on clothing/bags! If you have those delicate bags that can be washed I would put it in there on delicate :D

Love the phone case too hehe I have the red one!

  5. I'm pretty clumsy myself and I tend to spill stuff on my clothes a lot too. It all depends on what the fabric is.. I usually try soaking my stained clothes in mild detergent mixed with hot water (not boiling) before trying anything else. I can't really suggest the vinegar tip online, it's a little harsh for just a coffee stain :S If all else fails, I suggest taking it to a reputable dry cleaner bb~

  6. uzumaki is sick, man. i had a hard time digesting the manga. haven't got any guts to watch the movie. i'm chicken like that ._. but the tote looks so good and surprisingly matches your new hair cut! sorry about the coffe incident :( i always took extra care with my bags. can't say the same for my clothes heheh try usual detergent with baking soda? but then again idk with the print :/

  8. your bag is so cute! I like 4 side panels of the print too ^^
I stained my canvas tote last year too (but with makeup) so my tip for cleaning the coffee is you can either spot clean with a little detergent/soap (either handwash that part or use toothbrush) and/or flip it inside out then throw in the washing machine!

  9. Awww clumsy !! Hahaha I suggest you spot clean it if you don't want to machine/hand wash. I use a eucalyptus spray to lift stains (plus it kills germs and bacteria, also smells pretty nice if you like forest-y scents lol) and then use soap and a toothbrush.

  11. wow thanks for the link! I still haven't washed my bag so I'll try out this method, though the stain is big (it's behind the print so it's not seen), i might use a laundry brush instead but thank you so much for this tip. I really appreciate it!

  16. Thank you sweet!!! I've made some research already, hopefully it'll be successful by tomorrow :D

I read most of Junji Ito's works, if you marathon it too much you'll kind of get numb with the horror, and find it curious instead as how he's able to come up with crazy ideas lolol.

  17. I would love to have this in backpack tbh haha I agree backpacks are just more convenient for me too. they can bring a lot and in a more organized manner. unlike tote bags where you just dump everything in it. its hard to find keys and stuff ~.~

  18. flipping it inside out and washing machine hopefully works for me. I'd love to handwash it but maybe i'll do the lazy way first hahahaha!
    thanks for the tip bb!!!

  21. I can never keep anything stain-free either. I'm way to lazy to get rid of stains properly though haha, so I just pop anything in the washing machine. Maybe try those pen or travel stain removals first?

I haven't seen any of those prints anywhere, I think it looks intriguing!
